Land Rover Series I (2nd version)

vehicle model:
a totally scratch build land rover with 1/43 scale. identical to the previous handmade series I. note, the different is this one model got a pickup hardtop, and using somekind of land rover MK II winch model.

An Old Land Rover Series II

tamiya's land rover ambulance 109 - 1/35 model. fully modified n rebuilt from 109 ambulance model became 88 cargo hardtop model. the hardtop were scratch build using plaplate.

Land Rover Defender 130 double cab

basic from the cararama's die cast 1/43 scale. fully modified and stretched from 110 wheelbase model became 130 wheelbase model. the rear pickup body were scratch build from plaplate. other scratch build done for the winch, the rear window, the softtop frame, etc

Land Rover Series III 109' Camel Trophy Zaire

vehicle model:
basic from corgi die cast landrover 1/36 scale. repaint and modified with some scratch build part (roof rack, lamp guards, winch, jerry cans holder, etc), and kit model accessories from italeri (jerry cans, box, bag, etc).
the original tires removed and replaced with the tires from a plastic army man vehicle.

Defender 110 Pickup

modified from the station wagon model became pickup.
some part were made scratch build such as winch, the winch bumper, snorkel, the rear pickup door, the middle pickup box, the shovel, and the suspension.

Land Rover Lightweight

scratch built from zero, using tamiya's plaplate (for the body and other parts), putty (smoothing the shape), and some band aid (the soft top). scale was 1:34.

this land rover lightweight, now belongs to Mr Mugi Subagio (owner of Clinic Land Rover)

Land Rover Defender "Snatch"

Heres another scratch build of a 1:35 land rover defender "snatch" that i made. All the vehicle's componet (body, chassis, etc) were hand made and build from scratch using the plain plate and some putty job, except the tires are from the 1:35 italeri land rover "paratrooper" (similiar like tamiya's pink panther) tires.

"Damn, I Have Just Washed My Landy This Morning..."

This diorama tells about a farmer that really pissed off because his land rover series II is getting dirty again. Although he have just washed his land rover in the morning, early that day.

The vehicles was a scratch build and total remodel from the italeri 1:35 land rover paratrooper, the telegraph pole was from the italeri telegraph pole set, and the remodeled figure was from the academy German infantry bastogne. The environments are made from wood powder, dish wash sponge, dirt, ice cream stick.

This diorama was made for the owner of "Land Rover Clinic", a land rover workshop in the South Jakarta - Indonesia

Australian Military Land Rover 6x6: "Perentie"

This model was made according to the real model of Australian 6x6 Land Rover which called "Perentie". The model that i made is the variant of troop carrier type.

This 1:35 model was totally build from scratch, except for the wheels that i took from the ford mutt truck utility, and the axles from the gmc 2-1/2 truck. I made this model using the plain plastic plate and some paper clips with a lot of help of tamiya putty.

I know my own handcraft job of this scratch build is so far away from perfect, but it took a lot of time and hard work to build it (specially during the EURO 2008 session, because i made it around that time), and also it gives me a big self pleasure of building my dream 6x6 perentie.
So hope you will enjoy it...

Land Rover 90: “Camel Trophy 1985, Borneo”

This model is a totally rebuild and remodel from the original kit. Based on the italeri’s (1:35) land rover series II (paratroopers-similar like the tamiya’s pink panther), the model was converted into a land rover 90. The 109 inch wheel based model was cutted into 90 inch wheel base model of land rover 90. Because the base model didn’t have a hard top, and it was a series II land rover, it must took a lot of rebuild and remodel from the hard top, front body, front lamp, side skirt, front bumper, rear body, coil sprung (converted from the old series II leaf sprung). And because the model will be build as the land rover 90 that used in the Camel Trophy 1985 then some details are added to bring it life such as roof rack, bull bar, jerry cans holder, roof rack lamp, winch, side mirror, shovel, axe, and many other details. Almost all of the major were scratch build, except the jerry cans and the snorkel which was taken from the italeri ww2 jerry can set and the academy ford utility snorkel (upgrade with upper cup). A lot of plain plate of plastic (for hardtop, side skirts, roof rack, and other body works) and some various size iron wire (for bull bar, and ) were use to make this model possible and close to the details.

The result is the Land Rover 90 of Camel Trophy 1985, Borneo.

US Sherman tank and 2.1/2 TON 6x6 Cargo Truck

The Sherman tank was from the Italeri (1:35) Sherman Marine tank (modified with Europe front decals), and the truck was from the Tamiya (1:35) U.S. 2.1/2 TON 6x6 Cargo Truck. I painted this kit with testor's olive drab paint for the main body of the tank and truck.

D-DAY 6 JUNE 1944: "Dont Let The Krauts Finish Their Breakfast"

June 6, 1944
The Troops from the U.S 101st airborne, were assigned to clear out the village near the beach to clear up the way for the Beach landing at Utah Beach. The 101st troops were drop in the night before, June 5 1944. And they got a heavy beating from German Artillery and Anti Aircraft Gun. Fighting from the mid night until morning of June 6, 1994. And in the morning they have to finish their objective to clear out the way for the beach landing. The result is The 101st troops wont let the Germans (Krauts) finish their breakfast.

The kits were from Dragon 101st Airborne (1:35) and Academy German Machine Gun Infantry (1:35), and Academy German Kitchen Field Set. The house is a scratch build from white cement, and also for the accessories and the tree.

D-DAY 6 JUNE 1944: "The Breaking Point"

The diorama is about the breaking point at Omaha beach, d-day. In June 6, 1944 the allied made a big invasion to Normandy. All forces from the land, sea and air were sent to the battle. The diorama tells about the beach landing, which the code name was "Omaha".

The kits are both from dragon (1:35 scale), U.S 29th infantry division and U.S. Rangers. The barricades are scratch build by thin plastic plate from tamiya, also the wire and the ruins.
